Our Story

Since 2019, Zhejiang Maijie Petroleum Equipment Co., Ltd. has built its business around a single conviction: that the future of utility access covers is non-metallic. Rather than spreading across the crowded cast-iron market, we committed our plant entirely to SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) composite covers and gratings, marketed worldwide under the VICTORY brand.

That focus is deliberate. Composite covers solve problems that iron cannot — they are not worth stealing, they do not rust, and they stay stable under the heat, salt, and sand that define Middle East infrastructure. By concentrating on one material family and one product line, we have been able to refine tooling, load performance, and surface finish to a level a generalist foundry rarely reaches.

What We Do

We design and manufacture SMC composite manhole covers and composite gully grates for municipal, water, power, and telecom networks.

SMC composite cover be thinner and lighter while carrying the same load rating. Covers are produced to EN 124 load classes (typically B125 to D400) and offered in round and square formats, with custom sizes, colors, surface text, and your logo available for tender requirements.

Markets & Industries We Serve

VICTORY covers are installed across 30+ countries, with a primary focus on Middle East and GCC municipalities, water and sewerage authorities, infrastructure contractors, EPC firms, and importing distributors. Typical applications span municipal roads and sidewalks, water and drainage networks, power and cable chambers, and telecom access points.

Our In-House Mold Shop

Tooling is where most composite suppliers depend on outside vendors — we don’t. Keeping mold-making in-house means we control lead time on new tooling, protect your design and logo, and can turn a tender drawing into a production-ready mold without waiting on a third party. For municipal buyers who need a specific size, branding, or marking, this is the difference between “we’ll try to source it” and “we’ll make it.”

Quality & Compliance

Every VICTORY cover is manufactured to the EN 124 framework — the standard most widely referenced across the GCC and broader Middle East (and adopted regionally as GSO EN 124) — with load classes selected to match the installation, from light-duty pedestrian areas (B125) up to main-road traffic (D400). Test reports and documentation are available to support tender and import requirements.

From Sheet to Cover — Our Production Process

We convert engineered SMC sheet into finished, load-rated covers entirely under our own roof. Here is how a VICTORY cover is made.

Step 1 — Material selection & incoming inspection We source certified SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) — a glass-fibre-reinforced (FRP/GRP) sheet material — from qualified suppliers, and inspect each incoming batch for weight, fibre content, and condition before it enters production.

Step 2 — In-house mold making Our own tooling shop builds and maintains the steel molds for every cover size, shape, and surface pattern we produce. Because the molds are made in-house, we can cut new tooling for custom dimensions, load classes, surface text, and customer logos quickly — which is what lets us answer specific municipal and tender requirements.

Step 3 — Compression molding SMC sheet is charged into heated molds and formed under high-tonnage hydraulic presses. Pressing from sheet (rather than pouring) gives a dense, uniform structure — the reason a VICTORY cover can be thinner and lighter while holding its load class.

Step 4 — Demolding, trimming & deburring Each cover is demolded and the edges are trimmed and deburred to a clean, consistent finish ready for the field.

Step 5 — Surface & anti-slip finish The anti-slip tread and surface detail are formed as part of the molding itself, so the pattern is integral to the cover rather than a coating that can wear off.

Step 6 — In-house testing & quality control Finished covers go through dimensional checks and load verification in our own QC area before they are cleared for packing. More on our quality control process.

Step 7 — Packing & container loading Covers are packed for sea freight and loaded for export to 30+ destinations.
