SMC Composite Manhole Covers
SMC FRP/GRP covers — 1/3 the weight of cast iron, theft-proof, and built to last 30+ years.
Our composite manhole covers are molded from SMC (Sheet Molding Compound), a high-strength FRP/GRP material that replaces traditional cast iron. Non-metallic, corrosion-proof and lightweight, these resin-based covers serve municipal roads, water and drainage, power, telecom and oil & gas networks in 30+ countries — and are engineered in our own factory to EN124 load classes A15 to F900.
Easy Install
One worker fits it by hand; no lifting gear, lower freight
Theft-Proof
Zero scrap value, so they're not stolen like iron
Corrosion-proof
Resists acids, alkalis and salt spray; ideal for coastal
Weatherproof
Handles harsh sun and heat without warping or fading
Safe
Non-conductive and anti-skid, even when wet

Cover Plate or Full Frame-and-Cover Set
Depending on your project, order the cover plate on its own or as a complete frame-and-cover set. Replacing a cracked lid in an existing cast-iron frame? A composite cover plate drops straight in. Building new? A composite manhole frame and cover set seats and seals as one unit and installs faster. Either way, we can match your existing clear opening or build to drawing.
| Cover plate only | Frame & cover set | |
| Best for | Replacing a lid in an existing frame | New-build and full refurbishment |
| Sealing | Limited by the old frame | Optimized — designed as one unit |
| Installation | Fastest swap-in | Best long-term seal and fit |

Load Classes — EN124 A15 to F900
| Class | Test Load | Typical Application |
| A15 | 15 kN (1.5 t) | Pedestrian & cycle areas |
| B125 | 125 kN (12.5 t) | Footways, car parks, light vehicles |
| C250 | 250 kN (25 t) | Kerbsides, gutters, slow-traffic edges |
| D400 | 400 kN (40 t) | Carriageways, roads, all vehicle parking |
| E600 | 600 kN (60 t) | Docks, ports, heavy industrial yards |
| F900 | 900 kN (90 t) | Airports, ports, very heavy wheel loads |
D400 is the most common class for municipal roads; Middle East ports and industrial zones often call for E600–F900.
Made from SMC — Sheet Molding Compound
SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) sits in the FRP/GRP family — a glass-fiber-reinforced polymer pressed from sheets, so the fiber is spread evenly through the part. That even distribution is why an SMC resin composite cover can be made thinner and lighter than a cast BMC equivalent while carrying more load. It is, in effect, a non-metallic well cover: nothing inside it to corrode, conduct, or attract scrap thieves.
We mold every cover in our own plant, controlling the resin formulation, the press parameters, and the curing — the detail that keeps quality and lead time consistent batch to batch.
A Composite Manhole Cover Manufacturer You Can Audit
VICTORY is a manufacturer, not a trader. Raw material in, finished SMC covers out — molding, demolding, and inspection all under one roof, with in-house QC at every stage. Because we run our own factory, we can also put together the accessories that ship with the covers — lifting tools, frames, and fittings — so you source one container instead of chasing several suppliers. Book a live video tour of the line, or audit us in person before you order.
Composite Manhole Cover FAQ
Are composite manhole covers as strong as cast iron?
Yes. Built to the same EN124 class, an SMC cover carries the same rated load — up to D400 for roads, with E600/F900 for ports and heavy industrial sites on request. It adds what iron can’t: no rust, no conductivity, and no scrap value for thieves.
What load classes do you supply?
The EN124 range from A15 to F900. A15–B125 suit footways and pedestrian areas, C250 fits kerbside drainage, and D400 covers trafficked roads — the everyday municipal choice. E600 and F900 for docks, ports, and airports are quoted per project.
Can they be used over electrical and telecom ducts?
Yes — SMC is non-conductive, so a cover can sit directly over live electrical and telecom runs with no risk of carrying current. The light weight also lets one technician open and reset frequent-access duct chambers. See the SMC series for material detail.
Do you sell the cover plate only or the full frame-and-cover set?
Both. Order a composite cover plate to drop into an existing cast-iron frame, or a complete frame-and-cover set for new builds where sealing and fit matter most. We can match your existing clear opening or build to your drawing.
Can you make custom sizes, colors and OEM logos?
Yes. We mold to custom sizes, shapes, colors, and load classes, and cast your logo or brand name into the cover surface — common for utilities and distributors. Send drawings or a sample for a tooling quote and lead time.
How is the price decided?
By load class, size, quantity, color/OEM marking, and sealing and locking options, with better unit pricing on full-container orders. Send your size, load class, and quantity for a quote. Pair covers with a cover lifter to ship complete.
Which countries do you export to?
30+ countries since 2019, with the Middle East as our core market and growing volume across Africa, Asia, and Europe. We handle full-container loads, documentation, and sea-freight packing. Ask for project references near you.
